As a former newspaper editor, I have extensive experience of writing, designing, editing, content-managing and proof-reading a variety of publications. In my communications work, I put these skills to use to produce professional-grade mini-magazines and a range of reports.
This 12-page mini-magazine was conceived to act as a newsletter and marketing document to support and raise awareness of the work of Healthwatch North Yorkshire, to be issued at outreach events and made available at key community venues. I planned and wrote all of the content as well as developing a style guide to inform the look and tone of the publication.
And below is an example of an e-newsletter designed as a web page using Adobe Express.

This Healthwatch annual report was produced in difficult circumstances during the COVID-19 pandemic, with various key members of the organisation unavailable to contribute due to sickness. I wrote and collated most of the content and designed the document to Healthwatch guidelines.
This Healthwatch COVID-19 briefing was produced to a tight schedule to update local NHS and care commissioners and providers on the issues our communities were raising with us during the early stages of the pandemic. I led on the production of the document, writing the framing narrative, working with colleagues to present an effective snapshot of feedback received and designing/editing the end product.
